I built SAFEY with a partner to support safety planning, and JARVIS XR as an iPhone assistant prototype.
SAFEY
SAFEY helps people experiencing domestic violence assess risk, make a safety checklist and find resources grouped by category. The name stands for Safety Assessment and Resource Platform. It opens as a working calculator, and the PIN, safety plan and disguise stay on the phone.
It cannot protect anyone from a person who already has the phone unlocked.

JARVIS XR
JARVIS XR describes what the camera sees, reads text, finds a named object or scans a barcode. Camera analysis runs on the phone, and the current task fills the screen. It was tested in a simulator, software that imitates an iPhone. It is not a navigation or mobility aid.

- Object detection in the browser Identifies objects in a browser using YOLOv8, an object-detection model. ONNX Runtime runs the model, and WebAssembly lets the browser execute the processing code.
- A Monte Carlo investment simulator I used Python to simulate many possible paths for a chosen mix of investments. Monte Carlo means using random trials to explore possibilities. It includes drawdown (declines from a peak) and tail risk (extreme losses).
- An operations dashboard An interface built with React, a tool for building screens, and TypeScript, a programming language. FastAPI, a Python tool, runs the server behind it.
